“Give the ones you love wings to fly, roots to come back, and reasons to stay.”
– Dalai Lama
The first day of beach season usually sends shock waves through your soul as you see how all of the little ones have grown during the school year. Used to screams of glee and pleas to build sandcastles or jump waves and rate handstands in the water, the beginning of the summer, this year, went a little differently.
First of all, my adorable daughter had her period, so before leaving the house, we spent half an hour trying to put together the perfect beach attire, where she would be comfortable. She wanted to wear shorts, but jean shorts were too hot, so we had to turn the house upside down until we found the perfect pair to match her bathing suit top. Sometimes, I wonder where she comes from, but as a woman who gets her own period, I can relate to indecisive.
Once the perfect outfit had been selected, and her girlfriend had arrived, we headed to the beach to the tune of Maroon Five on the radio. We both love Adam Levine, and his voice is that amazing mix of sexy, throaty, and steamy.
